Author Guidelines

Article Preparation

All manuscripts must be written in English and should not be more than 8,000 words in length or not more than 30 pages (including appendices and references) for research articles; not more than 2,000 words in lengths or not more than 4 pages for books reviews. Abstract should not be more than 200 words including keyword. All manuscripts should be typed using words processor (e.g. ms words .*doc/*.docx) formats and standard fonts (Times New Roman, Arial), font 12, and should be typewritten on one side of A4 paper only, one and half spaced, leaving top and left hand margins at least 2.5cm or one inch wide. All manuscripts sent to the editor should not contain author’s information (author’s name, affiliation) in the body of the articles to permit anonymity for the purposes of refereeing. Authors are encouraged to submit separate pages of authors’ biographical notes and details of address for correspondence. Please indicate the name of the authors to all correspondences who should be addressed regarding to the article submission. All manuscripts will be subjected to double blind review. The length time for reviewing process can vary from 4 weeks to 6 weeks. The editorial office will determine whether the article submitted is suited with the journal’s aim and scope prior the reviewing process. Details for submission including online submissions and page charge for articles accepted for publications can be found in the journal website: http://apmba.ub.ac.id.

Presentation

The editors require authors to write the articles in clear written style expressions to enable a well-structured presentation of ideas. Technical requirements including Headings, (1) main headings, should be typed in “uppercase” and (2) subheadings in “title” case. The body of the articles should be typed in standard setting. Foreign words, jargons should be typed in italics and used sparingly. APMBA (Asia Pacific Management and Business Application) adopts APA (American Psychology Association) reference styles, so all articles should avoid the use of footnotes. Details regarding article presentation can also be found in the journal website: http://apmba.ub.ac.id

APMBA journal have preference that the author/s use reference software available in many of the most popular reference management software products. These include all products that support Citation Style Language styles , such as Mendeley and Zotero, as well as  EndNote.

Using the word processor plug-ins from these products, authors only need to select the appropriate journal template when preparing their article, after which citations and bibliographies will be automatically formatted in the journal's style.

Use British spellings in all cases rather than American spellings (e.g. flavour rather than flavor). For numbering, spells out numbers from one to nine, while 10 and above should remain in numerical symbols. For describing year, “twentieth century” and “1990s” must be adopted. Whenever necessary the use of italics should be avoided, except native language expression which should be followed by English phrases.

For tables and figures, authors are suggested to include them separately from the body of the article (see Table 1) or (see Figure 1) which is located at the end of the article after the reference section. All tables and figures should be cited in the text. Whenever they come from secondary sources, they should be mentioned irrespective of whether or not they require permissions.
